With the 2019 Chorus America conference underway, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective for being awarded the Chorus America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming. C4 is a New York-based choral ensemble comprised almost entirely of composers. Most of the music performed by C4 is written in-house and premiered by the ensemble. I was a performer in the ensemble from early 2011 through 2015, during which time I started See-a-Dot. I was inspired by all of the wonderful innovative new music coming out of the ensemble and wanted to provide a way for these pieces to be disseminated beyond the group. To celebrate C4 on its remarkable achievement, here are ten pieces from our catalogue written by C4 composers and with C4 recordings on our website.
